After the release of ‘Ironman’, ‘The Incredible Hulk’ and soon to be released ‘Thor’ and ‘Captain America’, all the marvel superheroes will unite in
‘The Avengers’.
The Avengers is an upcoming American superhero film based upon the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name.
The film is directed by Joss Whedon who also co-wrote the screenplay of the film with Zak Penn.The film is produced by Marvel Studios, distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and is scheduled to release on May 4, 2012 in 3-D.
It will star many actors such as -
Robert Downey Jr. as Ironman
Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Chris Evans as Captain America
Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff
Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye
Marvel Studios chair-CEO Avi Arad first announced plans to develop an Avengers film in April 2005.The studio's plan was to release individual films for the main characters, to establish their identities and familiarize audiences with them, before merging the characters together in an Avengers movie.The principal photography began in March 2011.
In July 2010, it was reported that Edward Norton is not returning as Bruce Banner and Mark Ruffalo will star instead of him.
A teaser narrated by Samuel L. Jackson was shown at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International followed by an introduction of the cast.
