Tricks to take superb photos

Capturing life's memorable moments is a great fun. It provides immense pleasure. Technoly has developed to its apex these days. I recall our childhood when badly color photography was there. Now in the age of motion picture it is a joke. In this nexus, it is worthwhile to discuss about some tricks of still photography so that we can capture our sweet moments better.

There are two formats in taking a picture, Landscape and Portrait. As the term itself says abide the rule of taking a photo of a human being in the portrait view by holding the camera vertically and when it is time for a naturally scene, hold the camera horizontally, which is the normal holding process and snap.

Secondly, these days we have the technology of auto flash, auto focus, auto everything. It is very easy to understand that obeying to a mathematical calculation about how much light should come, if the camera feels that it is not abundant light then automatically the flash turns on. But the tip here is, always don't depend upon this. Because once a picture is taken (in a night shot specially) with an on flashlight it looks like you are in front of headlights of a vehicle. It may be okay. But try the second one. Flash off the camera and take the shot. But this is when you are doing something for special photography. This idea may proof wrong when you are taking a picture for the school entrance examination.

Then the third one is use of close up. When you need that the subject or person should be recognized, I mean when someone watches the image and can say yes, this is Rajesh, if your need is that, use the close up. However trick is that even if you need a close up view, don't take the picture from a very close distance of the subject but maintain some distance, go for Zoom and click. This way I believe you can get better result.

Light is a big deciding factor in photography. It is also a tuff job to know about it. But for simple photography I would like to suggest you to go for natural light. When God has provided us plenty of light sources free of cost which also suits so much to photography why not we use it. But certain things to be remembered here. If you have not much urgency don't shoot in the 'top-sun'. (You can mark a black shadow is coming under the eyes of the subject which will spoil your image) I mean when the sun is over the head. Morning and evening sunlight is the best source of light for photography.

People know much about photography and hence they can laugh at these tips. But this is for the beginners. Professionals can get less out of it, but one thing is very certain that none of these above tips are wrong.

(These tricks I have personally experienced during my career as an assistant Cinematographer. I am from Bollywood, the film industry of India. Check out my status there in http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1936475/ . Sometimes the tips may not be true for you for different reasons, but these are the basic tricks normally people abide to get good images.)
